For The French Toast

slices French bread, cut on the bias

Liquid Egg, Beaten

Half and Half Cream

For the Wild Mushrooms:

assorted wild mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

clove garlic, minced

fresh thyme leaves

Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Caramelized Bacon

slices Bacon

Prepare the Caramelized Bacon:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined
with parchment paper.
Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over each slice of
bacon.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy
and caramelized.
Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire
rack.
Prepare the Savory Custard:

In a shallow dish, whisk together the beaten egg,
half-and-half cream, grated Parmesan cheese,
McCormick Garlic Powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook the French Toast:

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip each slice of French bread into the savory
custard, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
Place the coated bread slices in the skillet and
cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4
minutes per side.
Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
Cook the Wild Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and
melt over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme
leaves, and cook until fragrant, about 1
minute.
Add the sliced wild mushrooms, salt, and
pepper.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the
mushrooms are tender and golden brown,
about 5-7 minutes
Assemble the Dish:

Place the cooked French toast slices on a
plate.
Top with the sautéed wild mushrooms.
Garnish with chopped fresh chives.
