For The French Toast
 ½ cup Half and Half Cream
 ½ tsp Garlic Powder
 1 tbsp butter (for cooking the French toast)
For the Wild Mushrooms:
 1 cup assorted wild mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
 1 clove garlic, minced
 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
 1 tbsp butter
For the Caramelized Bacon
 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
For Garnish
 Fresh chives, Chopped
Prepare the Caramelized Bacon:​

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over each slice of bacon.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
Prepare the Savory Custard:

  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the beaten egg, half-and-half cream, grated Parmesan cheese, McCormick Garlic Powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook the French Toast:

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Dip each slice of French bread into the savory custard, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
  • Place the coated bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
Cook the Wild Mushrooms

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and melt over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme leaves, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the sliced wild mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes
Assemble the Dish:

  • Place the cooked French toast slices on a plate.
  • Top with the sautéed wild mushrooms.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh chives.
